Adam Woodyatt leaves family home and moves into £100,000 motorhome after BBC exit | Celebrity News | Showbiz and television

Adam Woodyatt, 53, left his home to lead a nomadic life in a motorhome costing over £100,000, according to reports. The soap opera star is best known for playing Ian Beale on EastEnders for 38 years.

He bought the Burstner motorhome to prepare for a Looking Good Dead tour last year after being separated from his wife of 22 years.

The star admitted he loves driving so much he has no intention of returning home to London.

Speaking in a new interview, Adam said: “Because of Covid, I thought, ‘I don’t really want to stay in hotels all the time and just live out of a suitcase.’

“I wanted to enjoy it more.

“So I had a chat with Shane Richie – because he has a motorhome for whenever his band is on tour – except he doesn’t let anyone else drive it.

The soap star has confirmed he’s gone a little minimalist and realized how little he needs to get by in life.

He told host Kate Thornton during White Wine Question Time on her podcast yesterday (June 10) that most of his life was ‘in storage’.

The star explained, “I have my coffee machine, my iPad, my computer, my phone, my fishing gear, all my cooking gear.

“I also have my bike – and that’s about it.”

In August 2020, it was announced that Adam would be taking an “extended hiatus” before appearing on EastEnders.

The actor played Ian Beale since 1985, before leaving the series in 2021.

In November last year, he was announced as one of two annual late contestants on the 21st series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

He entered alongside actor Simon Gregson and was knocked out on day 18 of Gwyrch Castle in Wales in December, finishing in sixth place.
