WESTLAKE, Ohio — Parents and children enjoyed crafts, games, learning and prizes at “Crocker Kids” at Westlake’s Crocker Park on Tuesday for a “Reading is Fun” themed day. .
Organizers say just because school is on summer vacation doesn’t mean you can’t find ways to fit a little learning into your plans. Northeast Ohio Parent Magazine makes sure families can enjoy fun, free events all summer long.
This is the 6th year that Northeast Ohio Parent Magazine has hosted events like these. The events are aimed at children from 2 to 9 years old.
“We hear a lot of readers of our magazine say ‘thank you for the free events.’ Families can just come and go as they please and connect with local businesses, schools, camps and places,” said Brad Mitchell, owner and publisher of Northeast Ohio Parent. “They can get out and just enjoy a few hours of fun in the sun.”
There are nine other free kids’ events taking place in Westlake, Hudson and Orange Village this summer. The events will take place on Tuesdays until the beginning of September. Click this link to see when.
Each will have its own theme like friendship day, water games under the sea and more.
