A host of fun and affordable activities in Kingston this summer aimed at helping families entertain their young ones during the school holidays.
The Thumbs up it’s Thursday The program starts tomorrow, July 28, for children aged 2 to 11. The range of activities offered are courtesy of Kingston First, the downtown business improvement district.
Activities will range from storytelling and arts and crafts sessions to cupcake decorating and circus skills.
Local businesses such as the Bentall Centre, LUSH, Cass Art and Turk’s Launches have already committed to participating in the summer program.

Kingston’s top restaurants, including Las Iguanas, The Cheeky Pea and Busaba, will all be offering ‘Kids Eat Free’ offers on each of the Thumbs up it’s Thursday days to ensure that families can enjoy a low-cost lunch together between all activities.
Memorial Gardens in the city center has also been transformed into a family friend zone, with a pop-up sandbox complete with deckchairs, buckets and shovels, garden games and a fun “face in the face” installation. hole” on the theme of the sea.
