Launch of the Vi RedX family plan with up to five member connections



Vi (Vodafone Idea) has introduced a new multi-connection offer called RedX Family Plan, with two options priced at Rs. 1,699 and Rs. 2,299 per month offering perks like unlimited calls and unlimited data. The Rs. The RedX 1,699 postpaid plan comes with a three-member connection benefit, while the Rs. The RedX 2,299 postpaid plan comes with a five-member connection. This new RedX family plan offers it alongside the Rs. 1,099 RedX postpaid plan which also offers unlimited data and calling, but only allows one connection.

The new Vi R. 1,699 RedX Family Plan offers unlimited local, STD and national roaming calls. It brings unlimited data benefits and 3000 SMS per month. Additional benefits include one year Amazon Prime subscription, one year Netflix subscription, one year Hotstar VIP subscription, access to Vi Movies and TV VIP, access to international and domestic airport lounges (four times per year), seven days of international roaming is worth Rs. 2,999 and ISD calls to US and Canada at Rs. 0.50 / min, UK at Rs. 3 / min. It offers special rates in more than 14 countries.

Rs of Vi. 2,299 RedX Family Plan offers the same benefits but allows connections of up to five members. For these postpaid RedX plans, Vi has a six month blocking period. This means that users must be subscribed to these plans for at least six months, and if they plan to leave before the lockout period ends, users will have to pay an exit fee of Rs. 3,000. These new plans are online on the company’s website.

Freelance journalist Bala Yogesh add that Vodafone Idea (Vi) removed the Rs. 799 family postpaid plan from its wallet. Family plans start from Rs. 699 and this basic plan offers two member connections. Vodafone Idea has also reportedly increased the price to Rs. 199 add-on plans for new users and offers it to Rs. 249 instead. These measures could likely increase the average revenue per user (ARPU), a measure also taken in the prepaid segment.
