REGION – People who love live music breathed a sigh of relief this week as Ohio Governor Mike DeWine extended the curfew. Bars and restaurants are particularly affected. The curfew was 10 p.m. and is now 11 p.m. as the virus count improves.

To celebrate the little wins, consider listening to live music – and support the establishment kitchens while you’re at it – this weekend:

• Dustin Hites: 7 pm today at Zinum 12, 134 W. High St., Lima.

• Paul Rosewood: 7 pm today at Whiskey Wine & Roses, 17747 State Route 190, Fort Jennings.

• Hambone: Saturdays at 7 pm at Zinum 12, 134 W. High St., Lima.

• Frank Harnishfeger and Bob Schroeder: Dinner reservations begin Saturday at 5:30 pm, Old City Prime Upper Lounge, 215 S. Main St., Lima. Reservations required.

• Crashed Band: Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. at the Mulligans Bar, 702 W. North St., Lima.

• Caution: Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at 318 Restaurant and Bar, 318 N. Main St., Lima.

• Violet Vinyl: Saturdays at 7 p.m. at Whiskey Wine & Roses, 17747 State Route 190, Fort Jennings.

If you prefer to support a community benefit:

• A drive-through community dinner will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm Sunday at Anthony’s Restaurant, 15 Perry Street, Wapakoneta. Donations will be accepted for families of Wapakoneta High School students involved in a fatal car crash on January 16. One girl has died and the other is still hospitalized. The meal includes barbecue chicken, au gratin potatoes and green beans. Drivers must turn onto Perry Street from Auglaize Street to join the line.

If you are looking for family activities, here are some ideas:

• The Awakening Minds Art toddler painting class will start at 3:30 pm Thursday at the Leipsic Community Center, 120 E. Main St., Leipzig. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the one hour lesson. The cost is $ 15. The class aims to prepare a toddler or preschooler for kindergarten. A Valentine’s Day cookies and cards class begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, open to anyone 10 years of age or older. The cost for this event is $ 35, with registration due Monday.
