King of Pop’s family plan to record new song using voice of late star, brother Tito says
The Jacksons are planning to record a new song featuring their late brother Michael, Tito says.
The King of Pop died in 2009 at the age of 50, but his brother, 67, revealed that Michael “left a few things behind” that he and the band could add vocals to and create a new one on. piece.
He said: âIt would be so nice to be on a record with Michael again. Whatever would work, we would be willing to try it out and see what happens.
âIt’s definitely a great idea. There is more music to be released. They [Jackoâs label] have music. They always try to get our participation and we are always happy to offer.
Tito, who performs with the Jacksons at tonight’s Happy Days Festival in Esher, Surrey, says plans are in place for a new album.
Asked about the possibility of a first studio release by the brothers since 1989, he replied, “Yeah, I think so. We’re thinking about doing something, so hopefully that will come to fruition.
Michael’s last recording with the Jacksons was on Victory in 1984, two years after his solo smash, Thriller.
Meanwhile, Tito – who has just released a new album, Under Your Spell – has also revealed that there may be a third generation of Jacksons entering the music business.
He said: “I wouldn’t mind having a few grandchildren who were superstars, that would be nice.”
In June, Michael’s daughter Paris took to social media to reflect on the loss of her father who died in 2009.
