Regal will have $2 family movies in theaters this summer

The Regal Theater Chain has announced the return of its Regal Summer Movie Express 2022 series, where tickets are just $2 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to see movies for kids.

Other movie chains such as AMC and CMX Cinemas (formerly Cobb Theatres) have also made runs of inexpensive summer family movies in the past, but have yet to announce whether they will make them this summer.

Regal will present kid favorites such as “Despicable Me” and “The Lego Movie” for $2 on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. The theater says availability varies by location, so check the showtimes for participating theaters. Regal theaters in the Tampa Bay area include Regal Park Place & RPX in Pinellas Park, Regal Citrus Park in Tampa, Regal at Largo Mall and Regal Hollywood in Port Richey.

The film program now runs until the end of August.
