Which Hallmark stars are working on the GAC family projects?

Many Hallmark stars are now also working with the new television network, GAC Family. The network was launched in late September by Bill Abbott, who was previously the CEO of Crown Media’s Hallmark Channel. While most actors are still free to work with GAC and Hallmark, at least one has signed an exclusive agreement.

Danica McKellar has signed an exclusive agreement with the GAC family

As Heavy previously reported, Danica McKellar has signed an exclusive two-year deal with GAC Family.

A GAC Media representative confirmed to Heavy that this exclusive deal means McKellar will only be making romantic comedies and vacation movies for GAC Family for the duration of his contract. The press release says the contract lasts until 2023. It is not clear whether his mystery film series with Hallmark is covered by this exclusive deal or not.

McKellar and Tamera Mowry-Housley hosted the special Christmas 2021 preview on Hallmark in October. McKellar’s new film, “You, me and the Christmas treesKicked off Hallmark’s 2021 Countdown to Christmas event on October 22.

Her first project will be a new film called “The Winter Palace”, which will premiere on GAC Family on January 22, 2022. She will also produce the film.

Trevor Donovan and Merritt Patterson star in movie

Trevor Donovan and Merritt Patterson will star in the new movie “Jingle Bell Princess” on November 28 at 8 p.m. EST. Donovan also stars in “Nantucket Noel” on Hallmark on November 19th and Patterson stars in “Gingerbread Miracle” on Hallmark on November 5th.

Donovan does more than just star in a vacation movie with GAC Family. He signed a contract with them which involves acting and producing films for GAC Family, Country Music Alley reported. Donovan’s manager confirmed to Heavy that the contract is not exclusive.

Abbott tweeted that they have an expanded partnership with Donovan and that they will highlight his efforts to prevent bullying.

Susie Abromeit signed a deal with the GAC family and starred in a movie with Torrance Coombs

Susie Abromeit will be one of the biggest stars we’ll see more frequently on GAC Family. She signed a contract to star in four original films and host the original GAC Family movie nights, Deadline reported.

She also starred in “Much Ado About Christmas,” which just aired on GAC Family, launching its 12-year Christmas movie line. The film was directed by Michael Damian, who directed Hallmark’s “Christmas Waltz”.

She starred alongside Torrance Coombs, who also starred in Hallmark’s “Romance in the Air” alongside Cindy Busby, with “Royally Ever After”.

On Hallmark, she starred in “A Perfect Christmas” and was a guest on “Home & Family”.

Cameron Mathison stars in movie and hosted special Christmas preview

Cameron Mathison stars with Jennie Garth in the GAC Family movie “A Kindhearted Christmas” on November 20 at 8 p.m. EST.

Mathison also hosted the GAC Family Christmas Special Preview in October. Mathison previously co-hosted Hallmark’s “Home & Family” before the series was canceled earlier this year. He has also appeared frequently in Hallmark films.

Debbie Matenopoulos hosted the Christmas special

Debbie Matenopolous hosted the GAC Family Christmas Special in October with Mathison. She also previously hosted Hallmark’s “Home & Family” series with Mathison before it was canceled earlier in 2021.

Daniel Lissing stars in a film and a series

Daniel Lissing’s character, Jack, was killed off in “When Calls the Heart” and he’s only starred in one movie on the network since. In a podcast with Paul Greene, who plays Carson in “When Calls the Heart,” Lissing admitted that everyone thought he was crazy when he chose to quit the show.

He said in part: “I have a very clear vision of what I want to do, how I want to do it and what path I choose to take in this life… Man, I loved playing Jack. . I really, really did. If there was an opportunity to redo anything, I wouldn’t object. But… in life, you just have to make the decisions… OK, what’s my goal? What do I want to do? What do I want to achieve? Now, Lissing will be playing a secret role on the two-part Christmas special for Season 2 of “When Hope Calls”. The “When the Heart’s Calling” spin-off has moved from Hallmark to GAC Family.

Part 1 will air on Saturday, December 18 at 8 p.m. (Eastern / Pacific). Part 2 will air immediately following Part 1 on Saturday, December 18 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern / Pacific.

He also stars in “A Christmas Star” on GAC Media alongside Sara Canning. This film premieres on December 12 at 8 p.m. EST.

Lori Loughlin was one of the main stars of Hallmark’s “When Calls the Heart”, as well as the head of the “Garage Sale Mysteries” series. Hallmark separated from her after the college admissions scandal.

In the meantime, Hallmark has made it clear that they have no plans to bring Loughlin back into the fold. Sarah Lind, Dillon Casey, Jon McLaren and Gabriel Darku will star on “The Great Christmas Switch” on November 6 at 8 p.m. EST on GAC Family.

Lind starred in the “Martha’s Vineyard Mystery” series on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Casey can be seen in Hallmark’s “A Perfect Christmas”.

Bernard has appeared in Hallmark’s “Christmas in Evergreen: Bells are Ringing” and in “Hearts of Winter”. They can both be seen in the “One Winter Proposal” film series.

Bernard got her first role as the frontman of the Hallmark movie last year when she starred in “Christmas in Evergreen 4”. At the time she wrote about the opportunity on Instagram.

“When Hope Calls” Cast Join

Many of the original cast of “When Hope Calls” are returning for Season 2, which premieres with a two-part Christmas special on December 18 at 8 p.m. EST on GAC Family.

People confirmed to return include Morgan Kohan and Ryan-James Hatanaka. However, Jocelyn Hudon – who also played in the lead against Kohan – will not be returning for Season 2.
