Ah, the beginning of autumn. The changing of the leaves, the chill in the air, and perhaps most important of all, the start of the festive season. It all starts with Halloween, a favorite time of year for those who are crazy, spooky and/or weird. And what better than revisiting the staple movies that define modern Halloween culture?
Of them all, my personal favorites have always been The Addams Family movies. So if you’re like me and use fall as a reason to watch these classic movies, then you’ll want to know where to find them! Well, look no further, because at Hidden Remote we’ve got you covered.
Here’s where to stream everything The Addams Family movies.
Where to stream the Addams Family movies
Features of the 90s
Let’s start with Charles Addams’ first creations on the big screen, The Addams Family (1991) and Addams Family Values. These films can be said to have established the Addams Family’s position as cultural icons of the highest caliber.
It helps a lot when your movies are reviewed every year. Not only that, but who can forget such fun times as The Mamushka and the re-enactment of the first Thanksgiving.
Currently, The Addams Family and Addams Family Values can be enjoyed through a Paramount+ subscription. Those who have a premium subscription for Amazon Prime and Roku Channel can also stream it. And finally, if you’re only interested in The Addams and nothing else, early 90s movies can be purchased on Youtube, Google Play, and Apple TV.
Addams back in animation
With the success and enduring popularity of the first two films, it was no surprise in this era of nostalgia and reboots that the Addams Family would end up seeing new episodes in their theatrical lineup. These came in the form of The Addams Family (2019) and The Addams Family 2 (2021), returning the familiar characters to their cartoon form, with designs inspired more or less directly by the original Charles Addams magazine cartoons.
The first of this series of animated films, The Addams Family (2019), can be found on Prime Video with a subscription and is available for purchase on Youtube, Google Play and Apple TV. Also, I might advise you to check your TV listings, as Nickelodeon seems to have multiple airings of the movie throughout October.
As for the sequel, The Addams Family 2 (2021), it is not available on cable, but streaming offers more options. It can be found with a regular subscription to Prime or Paramount+, and a Premium subscription to Roku and Philo. Hey, it’s a huge market.
